North American Formula 1000 Opening Round MOVED to
Virginia International Raceway – May 12 – 13.
A majority decision by NorthAmF1000 drivers and teams, the opening round of the 2018 North American Formula 1000 Championship will now take place at the Country Club Racetrack in the rolling hills of Southern Virginia.
All the NorthAmF1000 drivers love Road Atlanta and are sad to see the event relocated, however with the weekend being cut down to only 3 on-track sessions, amounting to barely over one hour of track time – with no test day available – the weekend no longer fit the desired event parameters for North American Formula 1000 Championship racing.
